    Boxted Methodist Silver Band Service

    Sunday 3 September at Boxted Village Hall starting at 3pm. Outside if good weather or inside if wet. Come and join us for a selection of favourite hymns and music with a maritime theme.


    The Harvest Service at St. Mary’s, Langham will be at 9.30 on 17 September, and there will be a Harvest Evensong at St. Peter’s, Boxted at 6 pm on Sunday 24 September.

    Collections of food will be made at both services for the Foodbank and donations will be most welcome.

    URGENTLY NEEDED FOOD ITEMS:

    • Custard

    • Deodorants

    Saying Goodbye to Faces of The Village

    Elsie Towns, pictured above, passed away recently in her 103rd year.

    Elsie was born in the village and her vivid memories of village life are lodged in the Village History Archives.

    Although she moved to Mile End when she married Elsie retained strong ties with Boxted Methodist Church, attending services regularly, The above photo was taken in her 100 th year at the Methodist Christmas Bazaar. Three generations of her family still live in the village.
