    Faces of The Village

    Gene Pugh

Gene has served on the Parish Council for possibly 25 years and together with his father George before him they have probably clocked up over 50 years between them.

Gene, and his wife Ann, has lived in the village all his life. He can remember regularly kicking a football about on the playing field when he was younger and then going over to what was The Cross Inn with his friends. He and Ann first met at a youth club which was held at the British Legion.

The Parish Council is aware of the recent grass cutting problems on the playing fieldand is addressing the issues with the contractor. Gene kindly volunteered to cut the grass around the village hall this week.
