Reporting a highway issue
Surface water runs out on to Carters Hill, possibly from natural springs, but there are two drains in place that should divert the running water under the road and into the large ditch at the bottom.
Both the drains are blocked and both have been reported to Highways.
Here is the link which residents can use to report any highways defects. The interactive map also shows what problems have already been logged.

Save Our Bridge!
River Stour Trust S2C passes under Boxted Bridge
Every year the River Stour Trust organizes an event, ‘Sudbury to the Sea’, where up to 300 boats, mainly canoes, paddle boards and even some coracles, make the 24.5 mile journey down the River Stour from Sudbury to the sea ending at the Cattawade Barrier. The route passes under the venerable Boxted Bridge.
