Hill Farm Planning Application

Details can be found here:

Design and Access Statement accompanying the Hill Farm Planning Application states:

Landscape

The site already benefits from a mixture of trees and hedges along each of the four boundaries. These will be retained as they form part of the character of the area. Some trees along the south eastern corner will be removed to incorporate the green into the village heart. An arboriculture report accompanies this application to analyse the quality of trees and identify where suitable enhancement is needed.

A key area of consideration are the mature trees to the south of the site that form an integral part of the Boxted Cross character. Old trees of poor quality will be replaced with new planting to enhance the buffer between Boxted Straight Road and the plots of 23 – 27.

Additional tree and hedge planting to the existing boundaries and throughout the development will aid in protecting the amenity space of both the new and adjoining residents.

Care will need to be taken to ensure that wildlife will not be disturbed during the construction phase. It is recognised that any works to the existing hedge rows and tree planting will take place outside of the bird nesting season.

Generally the landscaping scheme will ensure the spaces in and around the development properties will be visually attractive with each dwelling benefitting from grass lawn front gardens and paved patio area with grass lawn rear gardens.

It is envisaged that a detailed landscape design would be subject to approval pursuant of a Planning Condition in the usual way.

The arboricultural impact assessment can be read here in full detail.
