    Faces of the village

    Anne Slater

Anne and her husband Ashley moved to Boxted 23 years ago and brought up their family in the village.

Anne has always had a passion for knitting. It is a very sociable pastime and after meeting a group of knitters online who became friends Anne started a knitting group eight years ago.

She also plays the tenor horn in Boxted Methodist Silver Band.

Everybody is welcome to the knitting group either on a regular basis or for drop in sessions. The more experienced knitters are happy to teach novices knitting and crocheting skills and yarn can be provided.

The group provides yarn for knitting that is donated to charity but they do plenty of knitting for themselves too.

The group meets in the new village hall at Gt Horkesley on Mondays from 10 – 12pm £2 inc refreshments. Mothers with babies are welcome and lifts can be arranged.

Tele Anne on 272630 for further details or just turn up.
