    Faces of The Village

    Sallie and David Smith.

David has lived in the village all his life and Sallie joined him when they married. David grew up with horses at Priory Hall where the family had a licensed riding school and livery yard. It was a natural extension to start selling horse feeds and bedding. The shop then focused on the sale of equestrian goods. The internet has had a big impact on the business with sales being made online rather than at individual shops like Priory Farm so the couple have made the decision to close the shop and concentrate on the saddlery side.

David has 20 years experience in saddle fitting and carries a stock of 250 saddles so he uses his skills and expertise to tailor his service to a customer’s individual needs. They are enjoying their new working lifestyle especially not being tied to the shop seven days a week.
