    New Choir

Elaine Marshall is keen to help organise a choir, with members from across the King’s Ridge Parishes, with the aim of ultimately singing occasionally throughout the year.

The perfect opportunity has presented itself, in that on the 29 June there is a United Service in St Peter’s Church, Boxted, at 10.30am, which also happens to be the Patronal Festival.

The aim is to have a choir singing for the Patronal festival. To that end, there will be rehearsals on the following dates:

    • Thursday 5th June St Peter’s Church 7pm
    • Tuesday 10th June St Peter’s Church 7pm
    • Wednesday 18th June St Peter’s Church 7pm

Rehearsals to be held at St Peter’s Church, Boxted 7 – 8pm

Repertoire: Take this Moment by John L. Bell and several communion hymns.

Elaine will be taking the lead on this, and as such if you would like to know more, please contact Elaine directly on marshall_elaine@hotmail.com or simply turn up to the rehearsals.

Have your say on travelling by bus in Essex

Essex County Council is inviting residents, passengers, and local communities to take part in a new bus survey during June 2025.

The online survey is taking place on Monday 2 June to Monday 30 June 2025. Whether you’re a regular bus user or someone who would like to use buses more, your views are important.

In addition to the online survey, a face-to-face consultation will take place from Monday 16 June to Friday 27 June 2025 at six locations across Essex. Look out for our survey teams at the following places:

    • Colchester – Osborne Street – Tuesday 17 June, Thursday 19 June, Friday 20 June, Saturday 21 June, Monday 23 June, Tuesday 24 June.

Also, a QR code for the survey can be found on a selection of our digital bus shelter screens.

We want to hear from a wide range of voices across the county—so whether you travel by bus regularly, occasionally, or not at all, please take a few minutes to share your thoughts.

Take part in the online survey here
