Saying Goodbye To Faces of the Village
Boxted Parish Council will be recruiting for a new Parish Clerk in due course now that Denise Humphries has left. It will probably be necessary to use a Locum Clerk until a suitable replacement is found.
There are also 2 vacant seats for Parish Councillors due to Councillors leaving the village. If you feel you have skills you could contribute to the council and/or an active interest in the village and can spare some time – please contact BoxtedParishCouncil or speak to any of the current parish councillors: Cheryl Damen,(Chair) chairboxtedpc Angela Mclauchlan, Bradley Maxwell, Gene Pugh, James Collitt, Mark Parratt and Val Banwell.
The Parish Council, supported by the Clerk, is responsible for the community assets in the village, including the Community Hub, the Village Hall, the playing field and the telephone kiosk, as well as having formulated the Boxted Neighbourhood Plan, which is adopted by Colchester Borough Council.

Colchester Borough Council’s Community Zone Warden at Boxted Community Hub
Melinda Bracey will be at the Community Hub on the first Tuesday of each month from 10 – 12 noon.
The next date is Tuesday 3 April
Melinda can help with issuing of recycling equipment and generally advise residents on most queries with borough council matters including dog fouling issues.
