Operation Christmas Child
As in previous years, the parish of Langham with Boxted is partnering with Operation Christmas Child, a project of the international Christian relief organisation, Samaritan’s Purse, to make a difference in the lives of children. This Christmas project takes empty shoeboxes and turns them into tangible expressions of God’s love by filling them with fun toys, school supplies and hygiene items. These gifts will be delivered to children overseas this Christmas.
Langham Community Shop are now kindly selling flat packed pre printed shoeboxes for 50p.
From now until 22 November, different activities will be taking place to collect shoebox gifts to contribute to this year’s appeal. Last year, the local area fantastically collected and donated more than 220 gift-filled shoeboxes. This contributed to the £265,000 collected in the UK and over 9 million internationally! If you would like to find out more please contact Tim Clarke on 07792 060597 or email timclarkie03@gmail.com
