Were you mortified to see the large amount of rubbish strewn on the Straight Road grass verge north of Langham Road junction recently?
Did you notice that it had been cleared up after a few days?
Well, thanks go to Stephen and Annette Whybrow who stepped in and cleared it up.
Stephen is the co-ordinator for the village volunteer litter group. A recent appeal in the parish magazine has brought 3 more welcome recruits on board but more volunteers are always appreciated.
For more details contact Stephen at email@example.com
Boxted Parish Council
Lucy Carpenter has decided to step down from Boxted Parish Council. Lucy moved to Nayland two years ago and is becoming increasingly involved in organisations in Nayland and feels she no longer has the time to do Boxted justice.
The Parish Council benefited from both Lucy’s professional attitude and specialist planning knowledge. Parish Councillors are sorry to see her go and wish her well in her activities in Nayland.
There is therefore a vacancy on the Parish Council.
Anyone who has an active interest in the village and skills which they feel they could bring to the work of the council please consider coming forward.
Training is available from the Essex Association of Local Councils and The Good Councillors Guide in the link below has more detailed information on what is involved.
If you are interested in applying or would like more details please contact the clerk to the Parish Council: Denise Humphris firstname.lastname@example.org
