Langham Community Shop welcomes you
(pictured above Jane Morton, the Community Shop Manager)
Here at the Shop we are always looking for volunteers to join our team. In theory there are 46 two hours slots on our volunteer rota each week, plus a further 14 slots for Openers and Closers (an additional task taken on by just a few).
– are you thinking of returning to work, but need to build up some confidence?
– do you need work experience for your C.V.?
– want some volunteering experience for your university personal statement?
– have some spare time
– like the idea of working with a community project
Some of our volunteers have previously worked in shops, others have been London bankers, nurses, lawyers, full-time mums, teachers or run their own businesses, everyone brings something unique to our business.
People volunteer for various reasons and all get something from it, but don’t take our word for it – take a look at the links below then give us a ring on tel. 01206 272431 and ask for Jane, or speak to any of our volunteers, to find out more about volunteering with us.
You will receive a warm welcome whether you want to volunteer for two hours every week or just two hours once in a blue moon!
