8. PLANNING
To consider this Council’s comments to planning applications submitted to Colchester Borough Council. NONE RECEIVED

9. COMMUNITY HUB
To consider the need for a regular maintenance person or contract to deal with various day to day maintenance issues as they arise and to assist the Clerk with statutory checks on fire alarms/fire doors etc. Suggested 5 hours per week. (details to be circulated)

10. WITHDRAWAL OF MORNING AND EVENING BUS SERVICES SERVING BOXTED
To consider writing a letter to Essex County Council supporting calls for these services to be re-instated immediately (details circulated)

11. BOROUGH COUNCILLORS LOCALITY FUNDING
To consider the use of £770 funding offered by Borough Councillors for Boxted, for a community project to be put towards two new self closing gates without finger entrapments for the children’s play area (identified on last independent play safety inspection as necessary)(quotes being obtained)

12. FINANCIAL AND ACCOUNTING
a) Financial report
To note the Clerk’s report on the current financial situation of the Council 1st April 2016 – date
c) To approve the payment of invoices received.

13. TIME AND DATE OF NEXT MEETING
There is no meeting in December. The next meeting will be Wednesday 11th January 2017 at Boxted Village Hall Cage Lane Boxted commencing at 7pm.This will be the Annual Budget/Precept meeting.

14. EXCLUSION OF THE PRESS AND PUBLIC
To consider that pursuant to Section 1 of the Public Bodies (Admission to Meetings) Act 1960 to exclude the Press and Public for the following item of business:

Friday 11 November the British Legion Club will open at 7.30 pm with the England / Scotland football match on the big screen. Come and wear your poppy – whatever FIFA say!

Sunday 13 November – Giant lasagne lunch and social gathering open from 12.00 – donations only for the food, Proceeds to the Poppy appeal.


Men’s Breakfast

Saturday 12 November at Boxted Village Hall. 9 am.

The speaker will be The Venerable Michael Fox who has spent 50 years working in the Diocese. Included in that time he was Vicar of the Church of the Ascension at Victoria Dock and Missioner at Felstead School. Now retired he often comes to the parishes to take services and is always interesting to listen to.

Langham Community Centre Refurbishment

A celebration of the completion of refurbishment works will take place on Saturday 12 November at 10.30 am at the Centre in School Road, Langham. Grants from Cory Environmental in Britain, Essex Community Fund and the Parish Council have made such improvements possible. Suspects unknown have forced open a rear gate and cut a lock on the shed and removed a motor cross bike. They have also been into a summerhouse and removed a pole dancing stage.

Opening times for Boxted Community Hub in term time are:

Monday and Tuesday 8 – 2 pm
Tues and Wednesday 8 – 2 pm and 6.30 to 9 pm
Friday 8 – 2 pm and 6.30 – 11pm
Saturday 8 am – 11 pm
Sunday 8 am – 7 pm


The Rainbow Rangers after school club use the the Community Hub in the afternoon during term time.
