The Community Hub will be opening at 5pm on Friday 5th August.
The bar will be open until 11pm – so even if people can’t get there at 5, they can come along any time during the evening to see what is happening and to talk to Donna about what they would like to see included as the facility is developed into a fully inclusive community hub.
The hub has BT sport, free wifi, and a community shop offering newspapers, bread, milk, eggs, greetings cards etc. but Donna is happy to provide more on request – just speak to her and she’s going to do her best to accommodate all requests. The facilities will be available to hire for small receptions, parties etc.
No membership is needed, the hub is being facilitated by the Council to provide a shop, cafe, bar for the Village and is open to everyone – and in order to make it a success we need local people to use it.

Anti-social behaviour (ASB) involving motor vehicles is dangerous to pedestrians and other road users and also causes harassment, alarm, and distress to local residents.
Everyone has a right to a peaceful life, if you experience ASB driving or riding, or have knowledge of meets that might involve ASB, illegal cruises or offenders or you can report it in many ways:
Do it online:
via the Essex Police Home Page
Call 101 (999 in an emergency)
You can also report any concerns or incidents of poor/ASB driving or riding directly to the Casualty Reduction Unit (CRU):
You can also send photos or video footage to this email address.
CRU and your local Community Team will deal robustly with offenders.
