BOXTED SPORTS PAVILION

Boxted Parish Council are looking at ideas for getting the bar at Boxted Sports Pavilion up and running in order to provide a facility for the whole community to use – our recent Neighbourhood Development Plan consultations have highlighted that many people miss having a local pub so maybe this could be an opportunity to provide that!

We are looking for any community minded organisations or individuals who may be able to manage and run the bar on their own account to put forward proposals for opening and running the bar facilities to benefit the community. In this scenario we would be looking for a monthly ‘rental’ payment for the facilities and then it would be up to you to run it, using any profits as you see fit – maybe ploughing the profits back in to your own club or community organisation or just picking up some extra income for yourself?

Alternatively, is there anyone who would be happy to run it on behalf of the Council as a volunteer or anyone who would volunteer to work behind the bar maybe one or two shifts per month? In this scenario all profits would be ploughed directly back into improving facilities for the local Boxted community.

We are hoping to look at all proposals we receive during January 2016 with a view to making a decision as to how to proceed with this project.

If you would like to have a look around the premises or just want some further information about this project and what would be expected or involved please contact The Clerk to the Council Boxted Parish Council Tel: 01206 329019 e-mail boxted-council@btconnect.com.

All proposals need to be sent to The Clerk to the Council by Friday 11th December 2015 at the latest.
