A Boxted community event to mark the end of WW1
with music, poetry, drama and much more, involving:
Boxted Methodist Silver Band, Boxted Amateur Players,
Boxted branch of The Royal British Legion
and other local residents.
Prizegiving to winners of “Boxted in 100 years time” competition by pupils of Boxted St. Peter’s CEVC School.
Tickets £10 including interval refreshments.
Proceeds shared between St. Peter’s Tower Repair Fund and Contact Stress (Veterans Mental Health Charity).

Pictured above is a photo of the grave of Walter William Sparkes, aged 22, who s buried in a War Grave in St Peter’s churchyard. He was the eldest son of William and Kate Sparkes who lived at 66 Mill Road Boxted. They lost their youngest son six months earlier at the Battle of Loos.

Operation Christmas Child
As in previous year’s the parish churches will be supporting this years Operation Christmas Child Shoebox appeal where a simple gift can truly change someone’s life for the better.
This year there will be an afternoon awareness event on Sunday 11th November at 4pm and Shoebox Sunday is on the 18th at 9.30am, both held at St Peter’s Church Boxted.
Pre-printed shoeboxes can be purchased from Langham Community Shop at a price of 50p each.
Shoeboxes can be dropped off at either of the events above or alternatively before 18/11 to:

Recent Anti Social Behaviour at Boxted Play Area
Dog faeces was spread on to the grab rail to the climbing frame slide and a section of the picket fencing had been kicked and broken.

Suspects unknown have gained entry to the victim’s back garden from the field. Suspects have then gained entry into the victims house by forcing the french doors open by means unknown. Once inside suspects have conducted a messy search in the main bedroom and three rooms downstairs going through cupboards and drawers. Victim believes suspects have removed jewellery but were disturbed.

Suspect unknown has stolen victims trailer from the bottom of the garden.
