    Book review

The Beekeeper of Aleppo by Christy Lefteri

Moving, powerful, compassionate, and beautifully written, The Beekeeper of Aleppo is a testament to the triumph of the human spirit. It is the kind of book that reminds us of the power of storytelling.

    Rogue Traders

    Grahame Stehle
    Colchester District Neighbourhood Watch

Concerning the recent high winds, fallen fences and holes in roofs bring out the rogue traders in droves. Don’t be fooled into parting with your money. Always use reputable traders with a good track record and never accept a doorstep offer to start and complete work.

Use traders who you trust or have used before. Alternatively Trading Standards have a ‘Buy With Confidence’ scheme – please use this website in order to find traders that have been vetted and approved by Trading Standards.

Please also be aware that rogue traders may appear alongside reputable traders on popular web sites promoting these services.

Take a look at this video from Trading Standards: Cold Callers Video .

Also, Checkatrade is another good place to start your search for help – http://bit.ly/3c6OHjV.
