Memories of Boxted
In the 1950s, 31 Straight Road was used as the village police station.

In the photo is Reginald Arthington Cobbold. At the time the photo was taken he was retired but he had been the village policeman. He and the District Nurse were the only people with telephones!

What’s on in November …
Roadworks!

Straight Road, Boxted Part-closure 6-8 November
The rescheduled drainage repairs to be undertaken by Anglian Water between Hobbs Drive and East Side, which were originally due to take place at the beginning of October, will now be carried out on 6-8 November. In welcome news, it has been agreed that there will be no road closure and the works will be controlled by traffic lights instead.

Operation Christmas Child

It’s Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Season! This year we will be hosting a Packing Party on Sun 17th November.
Items can be dropped of this year at Harpers Caffe at Boxted Hub, Boxted Church and St John’s Church Great Horkesley.
