Boxted Bridge Update

Lucinda de Jasay writes:
Bridge has been closed now for 312 days. It is clear that Essex Highway are struggling to make any progress.
Cyclists continue to be forced onto the dangerous B1068 route, commuters have to factor in a 7 mile diversion onto their journeys to work, there is no sign of progress on the temporary portage routes round the bridge for canoeists, Highways have ignored repeated requests to facilitate pedestrian access during the prolonged closure. There has been no substantial update provided on the planning application.
The hideous keep out barricades either side of the bridge make a travesty of its position in the setting of the surrounding Dedham Vale and Stour Valley National Landscape as a famous beauty spot.

This runner is wearing a hi viz jacket.
Notice how the motorist spots him in good time and pulls out wide giving the runner plenty of room.
