The usual pattern of services is the first two Sundays of the month at St Peter’s Boxted and the last two Sundays of the month at St Mary’s Langham.

Hammonds Farm, CO6 3LS

Join us for an afternoon celebrating the diversity of the 6 parishes of Langham with Boxted, Great Horkesley, West Bergholt, Little Horkesley, Wormingford and Mount Bures. Bishop Roger will be joining us for the afternoon and preaching at the worship.

Pylons will have widespread impact on views throughout Boxted!

Say YES to offshore grid, a coordinated offshore grid for East Anglia saves consumers £2bn and requires 50% less infrastructure.
Say NO to pylons, they are unpopular, old fashioned and unnecessary and require a huge infrastructure to support.

Did you see the Perseids?
Thanks to everyone who came along to the Shooting Star party at Boxted village hall last Saturday evening. In excess of 40 people attended.
Unfortunately, the weather was not favourable for viewing the Perseid meteor shower so three talks were given inside the village hall on the Dedham Vale Dark Skies campaign, the Perseids, and how to photograph shooting stars. Paul Blakesley also brought along his collection of meteorites (a solid piece of debris from an object, such as a comet, asteroid, or meteoroid, that originates in outer space and survives its passage through the atmosphere).
After the meeting, the skies miraculously cleared (briefly!), and we were able to see numerous sightings of this wonderful annual display.

In the Community

Essex County Council is undertaking a review of local bus services which are paid for by Essex taxpayers. It does not cover services/journeys operated commercially by transport providers . This review covers all 12 districts in Essex with the view of assessing whether to continue providing the service and in what capacity; or whether to look for alternative solutions.
This consultation will close on 5 October 2023.
