DAST Get Online Week 19th – 25th October 2020

This year’s Get Online Week campaign is going to be a little bit different, with the country still responding to the coronavirus pandemic, there won’t be any large events in local communities and inviting lots of people into public venues, instead, the aim is to help people safely, whether that’s over the phone or using digital tools like Teams and the social media platforms Facebook and Instagram for live coffee mornings.

This year the event takes place 19th – 25th October 2020, assisting people during the working week.

During this year “Get Online Week” is a daily one-hour live coffee morning on Teams, Facebook and Instagram to engage with residents. It is an opportunity for those who attend to socialise with others, ask questions, share and talk about specific topics for example: managing money and managing your health online, which will help build individuals’ confidence in using technology which is so important especially during the current pandemic.
